This wistful observation intercepted by Akismet. Yet one further example that spammers are going through an existential crisis.
Yes, Ftak, I think you’re beginning to understand: we really, really hate you.
As someone who runs a couple of forums, I especially love deleting their fake registrations every day. Considering none actually get through to the forum as they all have to pass through a manual selection process, the utter and complete and repetitive pointlessness of it all often puts me in the same existential mood.
Especially since you have to manually write in a code to sign up, which leads me to believe that some poor fucks are actually typing these fake spam registrations in by hand. How’s that for a job then?
I used to get spam from that IP address. MUWAHahahahaha! No more.
I have this picture in my head of Ftak sitting in some small, sad little Eastern European apartment, water leaking from the upstairs bathroom, wind whistling in through the crack in the window, head in his hands, suddenly overwhelmed by the distaste that the rest of the world feels for him…
Don’t you just love the way they try to get you to click a link? There are two people competing for who can post the most spam in Aksimet. It all started when I said in RaJ’s post about spam that I don’t get any….then WHAM!! I start getting tons of it. Oh well…..thank goodness for Aksimet.
