Them’s Fightin’ Words!

After this morning’s tragic bombing in the Iraqi Parliament, I heard on the radio at least half a dozen Persons of Influence ‘strongly condemning’ the act.
British Foreign Secretary Margaret Beckett condemned it. British Shadow Foreign Secretary William Hague said: “I strongly condemn the terrorist attacks that have occurred in Baghdad”. Just now I heard President Bush strongly condemning the bombing.
I’m sure as the rest of the world wakes up they’ll all strongly condemn it too.
Since it’s all the rage to make daft empty declarations of nothingness, let it be known that Tetherd Cow Ahead strongly condemns the bombing. And I suggest all you folk strongly condemn it too, loudly and publicly.
Maybe if we all condemn strongly enough… oh, I can’t go on. Someone save me from vacuous politikalspeek.

I dunno. Something had to be done about that cafeteria…
And we’re (the U.S. of A) making “good progress” over there.
Colonel: Ah, I see what you mean. Not so much an act of political protest as a statement about lousy cuisine.
Still, they shouldn’t have used a bomb. They should have just strongly condemned the bad food.
Catalyst: Yes, Iraq might implode and Mr Bush would still consider progress was being made. In fact, I’m sure he won’t stop until progress has been made by wrecking the whole Middel East.
Our Decider warned us about Vegetables of Mass Destruction.
And our Vice President reminds us that if we do not fight vegetarians in Iraq, we will have to fight them in our own streets.
Oh bah. I dunno. When you have an unindicted War Criminal as President who has made you the most justly-hated country since Nazi Germany, what can you say?
We’re really, really, REALLY sorry…
I’m waiting for the report from my special committe to investigate S.T.U.F.F. before I make any statements about such incidents that may or may not have happened.
*sigh*

Well, the way some might look at this is sure, it’s one blown up caf and a few dead politicians… OR… one more “suicide bomber” down!
I believe, or so it seems, the thought is that like the Kamikaze’s, eventually they’ll run out of people willing to kill themselves and be able to declare a victory! “Mission Accomplished”, so to speak.
Allow me to condemn this thought process… and condemn the condemnations as being too wussy… and condemn the condemnation of the condemnations as obviously the rantings of a lunatic…
Good progress…is there a bad progress?
You know how old farts fascinate little kids by telling them of a world before television, back when people had to make toilet paper from scratch and stuff?
Well, when I’m old and decrepit (which should be sometime tomorrow), I’m going to tell little brats about the old days, back when words actually had meanings and weren’t just sounds made by pasty, pocked faces on the telly.
Of course, they won’t believe me. They probably won’t even understand me. *sigh*
I wish those suicide bombers would go practise someplace before they go “live”. It would save a lot of bloodshed and they would still have the end result.
Im disapppointd our Presdent dint go evn furthr and condemnate it.
