They’re being paid 25M Euros a year for “18 months to three years” to (at least publicly) do nothing, say nothing, and make no announcements.
Sounds like a deal to me! I don’t expect them to start saying anything again until that cash cow runs out. And I bet they’ll be milking it for as long past the three year deadline as they can.
PS – Going back through some of those old TCA posts, it’s interesting to note that pretty much any link to Steorn-based buffonery that I had included (clips & quotes on their website, their Youtube vids, information on Orbo & the SKBD) has now been redacted.
Well, nothing like cleaning up your history by just rewriting it, is there?
Hmmm, I posted a link to the internet wayback machine cached copy of the original Steorn website (the .net one) but I think it got caught in your spam filter.
Anyway. Internet Wayback Machine. Google it then google the old links (probably doesn’t work on the dead youtube links, sadly).
Yes, you can’t really vanish from the internet, but to think so is the same kind of wistful thinking that motivates Steorn in the first place, methinks.
Yep, that’s about what I guessed.
I amused myself.
Most amusive, dear Reverend
Super amusive, if I do say so meself.

Looks like they’ve discovered a source of free cash, if not free energy. Just goes to show how many idiots there are out there.

Except you can’t just clean up internet history. It’s always there.
For example:

Internet Wayback Machine.
You’re welcome.
