It had to happen sooner or later. SGM was set upon so frequently by life’s insults that taking refuge in the Tao plainly offered the best option. The least you could do is give up your seat for him.

Never have I ever imagined reading a sign like this. My world has turned upside down. I feel like peasantry.
What is the likelihood of a bus sign that says “Please offer this seat to queens”?
I want to see that sign
And obey it
Queens have to travel on buses?
Would help me if the graphic showed he was on fire. Easier to spot in a crowded bus, plus the history n’that.
SGM is trying to avoid both the pain and the political statement.
It would be really pathetic of me to point out that since the sign is Thai the monk would be Buddhist rather than Taoist. So I won’t, เย็ดà¹à¸¡à¹ˆ!
Well, as I frequently say, we don’t mind pedantry at all here on the Cow, so I don’t take it as pathetic. In fact, I would be somewhat disappointed if my readers didn’t keep up the standard.
I did know the monk was Buddhist, but Taoism seemed a funnier option for SGM, given his trials and tribulations brought about by resistance to the slings and arrows of life’s outrageous fortunes. I figured that he might be ready to just ‘go with the flow’.
Would that sign include “Thelonius” you know…”Monk”?
Groan.
Looks more like a guy in a straightjacket to me…
The King
Me too. but maybe that’s because I’m more familiar with straitjackets than robes
Could be a mummy too, I guess.
I once offered my seat to a Catholic priest.
Never again …
Which “seat” exactly Sir Joey? I don’t get i…………….HAHAHA! Now I get it!!!
Yeah. It was a seminal event; and I don’t like to talk about it.
Did he show you his crosier?
