Neither Fish nor Fowl…

From the Washington Post this morning:
Thousands of blackbirds birds fall from the sky in Arkansas, fish deaths reported worldwide. Dozens dead in Sweden, hundreds washed ashore in New Zealand. Is the world witnessing the end of days or is this just a case of coincidence fueled by wild speculation?
Oh criminy. I wonder what the correct answer to that question could possibly be?
End of Days hopefully, I would like something other than Days
Hey. That’s actually funny!
You agree with Malach?
Mark me down for a vote in the “End of Days” category.
You have to admit – it’s actually on topic and coherent. That’s a big advance for Malach.
More like the “End of the Washington Post”.

That’s too much to hope for
It might be time for another good ol’ Cow newspaper bashing.
“End of Days” is the prevailing opinion in the bird & fish community.
I’m waiting for the plagues of locusts and boils.
I don’t know about you but the headline read thousands of birds but the picture showed a couple looking at a single dead redwing blackbird (official bird of Manitoba)on the pavement. Can things be a bit exagerated? I mean if ten people phone in to a newspaper that they saw (the same)ten dead birds the paper would report one hundred dead birds. As to the “END OF DAYS!” Hope so! Take all those christians out of here and it will be a better world.
Sorry. A little cranky today.
Must be the season. Or the boils.
Depends where I get’em
I can’t say it with any authority, but my understanding is that a plague of boils implies getting them on your bum. It is a plague, after all.
I do not believe we are seeing the End of Days …
… for I believe in the power of a Criminy incantation employed by a Reverend of the Church of the Holy Cow.
That’s why you have your own shelf.
We’ve actually only got 11 months to live. I read it on BoingBoing, so it MUST be true.

Then again, they were a little wrong about 2006…

Actually, that first link only gives us till May 21. And anyway, everyone knows the Mayan calendar says 2012.
“Dozens dead in Sweden” doesn’t refer to birds either. I think the Abba Reunion story got mixed in there.

And I think it was meant to be ‘deaf’.
Here’s a silly question. What’s coming first? The rapture? or the end of days?
Speaking technically, The Rapture comes before the End of Days. Otherwise we sinners don’t get to spend a thousand* years frolicking with Satan.
(*I do find the chronology of what’s meant to happen slightly difficult to fathom. When you see Christians blathering on about the coming of Armageddon they mostly don’t have the foggiest clue of how the whole shebang is meant to proceed, and especially about the time periods involved. There’s a lot of fudge factor involved.
If you want to attempt to get a grip on it, here’s a Timeline for Revelation. Don’t expect to come away enlightened.)
