#1: How to Make Your Very Own Pepper Spray
Step1: Grab a handful of birdseye chillies.
Step 2: Stick them in a blender with a pint of water and let fly.
Step 3: Strain the resulting striking red-coloured fluid into a spray bottle.
DO NOT INHALE at any time during the above process. You will be mighty sorry if you do.
Yes, yes, I can hear you all clamouring to know exactly why I’m doing this, in contravention of the Geneva Convention and at the probable risk of being arrested under the Anti-Terrorism Act. Who is this enemy on which the genial and good-natured Reverend would wish to inflict some kind of biological napalmic hell?
Snails.
Bastards.

[…] The TCA Guide to DIY Chemical Weaponry. Or: how to make your own pepper spray. By Reverend Anaglyph at ‘Tetherd Cow […]
We used to put out bowls of beer. The snails drink the beer, fall into the liquor in their stupor and then drown. We used to find tens of dead snails every morning. It’s much kinder.
But probably not as satisfying to a Reverend hell bent on revenge.
You gave snails beer? I reserve that privilege for friends.
No, but the chilli spray you get next time will be snail’s capsicain.
Brilliant. And by the time you’ve basted the snails in pepper and marinated them in beer, all you need is a little butter and they’re ready for baking.
I thought beer was for slugs.
Erm.
Guys – BEER IS FOR DRINKING. Not for giving to slugs OR snails. Or marinating them in.
Now lets jus hope yer chilis aint infestd, cause you probly aint got no beer left.
You spray the slugs/snails with the concoction, once they drop, collect ’em, add some garlic butter, roast them at 350 degrees for about 20 minutes, and serve them to unwitting guests as escargot avec chilli!
Interesting thoughts on what to do with the snails after you hit them with the zyclon, but I still wonder what would possess you to waste good chilis.
OK, thanks for all the advice chums. I think I have the snail problem all sewed up now.
I think it works on ants too. I hate ants.
Thank you for this useful guide! *smiles evilly*

Ants! I hate ants! They smell TERRIBLE! And most people can’t smell them! Ugh! *stomps up and down, ranting*
