I bought these ‘pesto’ scones for lunch today. They taste really good.
But now I’m wondering how I tell if they go mouldy…

Dude. Carpet foam?!
Just watch for the face of Madonna or The Madonna (either one) to show up, and then you’ll know they’re no longer fit for eating but ready for Ebaying. Actually, I can see The Man in the Moon in the one on the left… you didn’t already eat that one, did you?
Ewwww! Green food. I thought that was only supposed to be veggies.
darn. I was going to say that I can see an image on the one to the left, but Colonel beat me to it. I can see jesus – its the the dark area in the middle.Just above the white is the head (including the beard), the body is all the way down (you can clearly see the arms are near the body, and not sticking out). and the feet are at the bottom.
I wonder how much could you get selling it on ebay ?
I’ll bet that they’re good enough that you eat them before they have a chance to go bad. But if they do – a little mold never killed anybody. It’ll build up your immune system.
Jam: Mmmm… carpet foam…
Catalyst: See Chickie’s comment.

Colonel & din: Faces? You guys are on crack cocaine.
The last time I saw something that looked like that it wasn’t from a touch of culture, but a touch of cooter.
I’m glad they taste good. They sure don’t look good 8-O
I think Safety Craig’s been doing a bit of cooking on the side.
Im glad im not the only one seeing Osama! I thought i was going mad!
Save one o them fer me, Revrend. Ill be right backski. I jus got a suddn urge t go blow sompm up.
phew! the image has gone….put it down to bad acid!
These look good (: Where did you get them? I find it hard to find any decent pastries in the US so far (except bagels, maybe..)
Pesto on noodles is also good ^^”
Sadly, Nils, you’ll have to travel to Sydney, Australia (where I live) to get these pesto scones…
Aww, dangit, that’s waaay over my budget. Guess I’ll need to make my own then…
Actually, that is a feasible plan… I do have a recipe for scones, all I’m missing is the pesto. Now you started something (;
btw, what is that white stuff on them? just flour?
Nils: I’m sure they would be easy enough to make yourself. They just seem to be normal scones with pesto stirred through, as you say. If you don’t want to go to the trouble of making the pesto you can buy quite presentable ready-made jars from supermarkets (at least you can down here).
Yes, the white stuff is flour. Or mould. But it tastes OK.
