Halloween 2006 sees the launch of my new image exhibition ‘Insincerity – The Icons of Mistrust’. All Cow readers are, of course, invited!
If anyone has any ideas on promotion for my show I’m open to suggestions – I’m trying to spread the news as far and wide as I can. Along with that, I’m also thinking of webcasting the opening, so if any of you have experience with that, please let me know!
You can see all 17 images in the exhibition here. The final works are printed on high quality heavy weight rag paper with fully archival inks, and are 700mm (27.5in) square. They look spectacular.

[…] Well Cow Fans, ‘Insincerity‘ has been hung and except for a few small technicalities (like, er, one of the pieces not actually being printed…) we’re all shipshape for the launch tomorrow night. The bad news is that the anticipated webcast won’t be possible. Not for want of trying on the part of my technical genius buddy and good friend hewhohears, who peeked and poked* his way into Telstra’s convoluted e-bowels but was eventually thwarted by their chronic constipation.†[…]

[…] Still, fun was had, and the show has been extended for a further two weeks until November 27. If you’re in the vicinity, drop on by! […]
Beautiful! Congrats and Good Luck and all that.
Afraid I have neither experience with webcasting nor any thoughts on marketing… but if anything comes to me in a dream, I’ll let you know ;-)

Jeez Rev – I’m gobsmacked. Your work is fantastic. How can an image be both luscious and threatening? And why do I sometimes have dreams that look like hypocrisy? Uh oh…
Re marketing, I had the idea pop into my mind of projecting a cycle of the name of the insincerity then its image onto an appropriate huge wall in a public place in the city. Well, if I saw that I’d go check out the show… Can’t suggest anything re webcast though – I know SFA about that…
Congratulations – wish I could be there :)
I’m putting my thinking cap on right now Rev…
Now where did I put that thinking cap?
Ok, I found a swim cap instead and I’m going to use that. When I get back from the pool I’ll have something figured out.
I so wish I could go.
Are you insincere about the year?
Always testing us, aren’t you Reverend.
Thank you to the Cow Proofreading Team. I will be relying on you all even more as I drift inexorably into senility.
To think that I never knew about the Secret Cow Level until now!
That’s why they call it a Secret Cow level…
Trippy imagery. I would definitely love to see how they look printed as well as larger. Wish I could afford a nice trip over to see your show. Your sense of colour and layering of shape and texture is so incredible. Have a great time hanging the show, too (that’s always my favorite part) and best of luck with it.
Amazing what you can do with a few well-bred “fractals” …
*ducks*
Tsk. I refuse to be baited.
Is this just a ploy to get me to bring you a bottle of whiskey instead? It’s pretty transparent.
What ARE those? I mean… how did you make them? What is the medium?
Thanks for the support all!
Ms Cartier: Don’t ask – it’s best you don’t know. Trust me.
Casey: Am I that obvious? Damn.
“Trust” you? Trust you?! Is that some kind of– OW! …felt like someone just stuck me with a big pin or something.
Ms Cartier, the simple fact is he has no– OW!
Hi – I found your blog through NotBean, and I like it! Anyone who calls his cat “The Spawn” and photoshops in demonic red eyes (they’re not real, right?) has to be worth reading!
I’ve added you to my blogroll at “On the Contrary: Don’s Mideast Musings”. I normally ask permission in advance, but I couldn’t see any contact information on your blog.
Good luck on the exhibition!

Jam: Mwahahahahaha! Now, if only I can get this damn thing to work on spammers.
Don: Thanks for dropping by, and thanks for the link. But exactly how is it that are you under the impression that Photoshop has anything to do with Glitch’s eyes?
Well, I wasn’t sure about the eyes – but the fact that you appear to have some facility with digital images, plus the fact that most cats (I’ve got ten at home; I know the little fiends well) manage to keep their eyes looking all cute even when they’re behaving satanically, made me think you might have used Photoshop (or something similar) to help – ummmm – bring out some of the detail.

these are truly beautiful. the colours are so vivid. trippy. how did you take all those? congrats on the exhibition, and good luck in present and future endeavours!
Syar: Thanks for your kind words. The images are generated using mathematical algorithms which allow me incredible control over shape and colour. There is truly nothing quite like them as far as I know.
